I'd call that "out-placement", and just like the business of the same name, it doesn't GO cheap < s >

I see where Buffalo just got rid of 100+ train carloads of NYC garbage that had been sitting on a siding for over a year. That neighbourhood must be pleased!

>Of course, outsourcing is not all bad. We here in Toronto managed to outsource our garbage problem to Michigan. I don't suppose NC would like some? We have lots.

>>Kind of like the justification for nuclear power plants. They are very clean until you try to dispose of the waste and that requires a safe and secure location for 100,000 years...maybe we can outsource it to India? :o) Oops, I just remembered, that is what Barnwell, SC is for...

We've reached a point of economic prosperity in this country in which we could all truly enjoy life. Now that life style is being threatened by government spending and greedy CEOs who are not thinking about tomorrow. We had a chance to reduce the national debt, save social security and medicare. Do you know how many have lost jobs in this country in the past couple of years? Do you how much of your tax dollars goes to paying the interest on the national debt? Did you know that we are spending 1 Billion a week because of the invasion of Iraq? Did you know that 48 states are having a budget crisis? Am I a pessimist if I worry how this is all going to come back to haunt us 5 years from now? We were warned 5 years ago about our failing grid system? Our country has to wait until 50 million people are without power until anybody does something. Call me a pessimist, but

I can buy gasoline for my car (it just went up 20 cents in two days!). The world is good, at least my narrow little corner of it is at this instant in time.

>>>Why worry about the future? Enjoy the present as it is the here and we have the greatest control over it. What happened yesterday is past. What happens tomorrow is not yet here.

>>>Everything always seems to work itself out at least to some degree of acceptability. Take the trade deficit as an example. I have observed that the federal government during the last 35 years will do one of two things about this topic.
