Creation of fuel for fuel cells
General Motors, and the Bush administrations “Fuel Cell Initiate”, may have far reaching impact on the world.
On the one hand we are told by different sources that fuel to power fuel cells will come from oil, natural gas or water. Let us forget oil and natural gas and concentrate on water.
What will happen to oil producing nations if water is the primary source of fuel? There is not much water in the desert so Arab nations may have a noticeable decline in income. This could lead to political, economic and military instability in those regions of the world. The implications could fill volumes.
It has been suggested that much of the instability in the Middle East is due to the declining income from oil. What if there was no need for oil?
Imagine oilmen in the United States (Bush, Channey and all the others) suddenly buying up all the water rights in the nation and then the world! There will be no water to drink but plenty for fuel cells.
I would bet that the North and South Poles would no longer exist. :)
