But what's the scoop on screen resolution on those things? 1024 x 768 just does NOT cut it anymore for me. Gotta be at least 1280 x 1024 and I prefer to run at 1450 x something. I know some of the IBM ThinkPads have this ability....

>I would also agree that a Tablet PC should be considered. I have had a Toshiba 3505 since March and am very pleased with it. It has replaced my development computer and use it exclusive for everything. We have over 8 different applications written in VFP 6.0 and without any conversions have found them to be 80% to 95% function in the Tablet PC world (ie: using the input panel rather than keyboard) We are in the process of modification for varius controls to better comodate the Tablet World. Our agency has made a commitment to go to the Tablet PC for the data collection in the field and we therefore purchased 5 HP's and 5 Acers to evaluate as well. We found the providers liked the lighter weight and smaller size compared to the Toshiba, but for development purposes they were not rated acceptable. In fact for develoment purposes the only one used is the Toshiba. I have had very minimal issues other than battery life and once in awhile setting the pen down on my desk and forgetting
