You might also try to use Visual FoxPro's OLE DB provider which creates recordsets. If I am not mistaken, recordset are alot like arrays and exist in memroy, but I'm not sure whether they envolve any writing to disk like to a temp table. I think tables and cursor both involve writing to disk.
