From this, I'm guessing that I should be doing _something_, though? Right now there is no code in there where the tables are being accessed that does anything to prevent problems such as two people writing to the same record, etc.

I know what buffering is in the general sense, but I'm not sure what you mean by it. Could you explain, please? How do I know what kind I need?
