As far as I know, we can't use command buttons because we aren't in a real READ EVENTS state. Everything is menu and PRG driven, all straight-through code. Getting the events loop working and then setting up a way for the click events to still trigger the same code...ouch.

I'm not saying command buttons aren't the right way to do it (they are), but I don't think I have time to re-jigger our entire application. I would be the last person to profess the advantages of @..PROMPT, but it appears that the complete control of menu bar locations that PROMPT offers is something you can't do in newer, more standard menus.
