Greetings all,

I need to create some functions to convert binary data to char strings and back again. This is simple enough with unsigned numbers, I assume most of us have done this sort of thing before, e.g., bin2chr(), etc. My problem is that doing this with SIGNED integers is not as obvious to me. I've been looking at the for byte patterns two and four byte strings and will figure it out but if anybody out there has already done it, I'd love to have some hints!
