This has been suggested and debated before. The biggest arguement against it is that VFP would then be more tied to the Windows release schedule. Apparently there are some pretty big hurdles inside MS that would make the request difficult.

>I'm sure there are plenty of "considerations and hurdles" in getting something like this actually done. But the sole fact that it is available for dotnet, shows that somebody at MS felt it was a good idea in promoting the dotnet platform, that same argument can be used in getting it for VFP.
