I think it was just corrupt because it is something that hasn't even been changed in a long time. PMFJI (and I didn't read every word in the thread either, to be candid), but have you tried having Debug Info checked when porting a PRJ to vfp8, then doing a "recompile all files"? That should update nearly everything, I think...except maybe your Resource, which should probably be deleted at this time also, if there are any problems like you describe.
