Hopefully DSL will get hooked up first. I'm still quite a ways out from that. Last week I installed a Netgear router that includes a wireless access point and four ports for wired connections. Last night I hooked up my new Windows 2003 server to it. I have not had any luck connecting at getting it to serve up web pages. So, I need to get that working first.
Once that's done, I'll be installing a Linux box for my mail server. When that's working properly, then I'll call Qwest to get the DSL connected.
I could just stick with Comcast, but they want $150/mo for static IP and web hosting abilities. I can do DSL for about 1/3 to 1/2 that.

>What will happen first? Will you switch to DSL or will Comcast be bought out by say EarthLink or whoever? We have noted a few “changes” with our wideband cable provider!

>I like wideband for the speed. SBC bought PacBell. They sent a crew over to install a DSL and cound not do it. A second and third crew were sent and finally the supervisor. They gave up! So I remain with cable. I could go back to my 56K connection I guess! :)
