Nope. Not IM. Go to the Services Console from Administrative Tools (Win2K & XP). Scroll down to Messenger. Turn it off.
>When you are saying Message Service you mean IM? I don't have any IM programs installed. The only thing I did a few days ago when MSBlast was around, is downloaded many patches from MSFT site (SP4 for Win2K and many others). You think that could have installed the Message Service (whatever it is). And how do you turn it off?
>Thank you.

>>If it looks like a messagebox, you may be running the Message Service. Turn it off in Windows Services and the message will go away.

>>>I have McAfee AV, ZoneAlarm Pro and yet in the past several days I got a pop up message on my desktop recommending to visit Great4Sex site. Interesting that I don't even have IE open at the time, just Outlook, when the message pops up.

>>>I know that after MSBlast (which I got) I ran McAfee and no virus was found. I also ran Ad-Aware (not the latest version though) and no problem found either.

>>>Where could this message come from?

>>>BTW, it is very annoying when they tell you where to see the porn. I can do the research myself, if I need to <bg>.
