Jordan, do you find a speed issue when doing this method of data access? Sounds like you would open and close tables a lot for minor searches, seeks etc. Also, what do you do with medium to large tables? Assume you have an item master table in inventory of 5000 records. This table will be used to validating a line item entry program on a sales order program. Do you pull the item file into a cursor or to you search the file some other way to avoid the open close?
