I am about to deploy an app where there is a central server and a need for centralized access from 3 other different locations.

There will be about 3-6 pc's at each location , mainly entering Invoices., up to 60 a day.

The app is developed in VFP 7/8 and it is not an option to redevelop as a web app or client server.


All sites ,as far as I am aware , are in a locality that BroadBand (DSL)always on connection can be installed, with 512 K speed upload and 128 download . (There may be other options but this seems to be the standard)


The client is particualrly concerned about speed, as the person previously worked at a site where ISDN was being used into Terminal server (A Direct Line rather than through the Internet), and speed was an issue


Is using the Internet an option using always on connection.
