I am trying to install the Northwind database and I have MSDE loaded on my system. When I run the SampleDBInstall.exe I get a dialog box that asks for the server and tells me to put in "(local)\VSdotNET" as the MSDE Database Instance.

I've tried everything I can think of, but I keep getting "Count not execute SQL scripts against the database." "Please ensure the Microsoft Desktop Engine is installed and the current user has sufficient priviledges to logon to the database system."

I am logged on as a System Administrator with the strong password required to install MSDE.

Any ideas how to get Northwind installed on my system?

TIA
