I am trying to create a report that can be printed out for presentations to a roomfull of people, and therefore it has a large physical size. VFP has a limit of 20" for each band height, but in the report designer it is possible to have more than one band with a height of 20". However they do not preview or print.

With a page size of 22" x 34", and header, detail and footer bands all is well if the sum of the band heights is less than 20". However if the sum of the bands is 21" I get the error message "Detail Band is too large to fit on page." when I try to preview or print.

If the designer allows me to design it, why will it not print? Is there a way around this capricious behaviour?
