Well, I guess I'm a bit late responding to this. Sorry, I'm not on the UT all that much. UPS problem? Sounds unlikely to me, but stranger things have happened I guess. Power problems can cause weird errors, so I guess it would be good to check it.

How to set the total number of files each user is allowed to open? Good question. Since Win 3.1 went away, this has become less of an issue, but maybe it's something to stay aware of. Is there a limit in Win 95, 98, 2K, or XP? I don't know, off-hand. Unfortunately, in this situation where I'm having the problem I mentioned, the user still has some Win 95 boxes. Scary. I haven't tracked down a solution yet. I'm still suspicious about network glitches, but that's so hard to nail down.
