I called Dave regarding the last issue because I couldn't even open a blank datachild form. I had to reinstall everything and now the blank forms works. I then discovered that I was using a class from the UT downloads datepicker. It had an "equal sign" in the statusbar and one other property - removing the "equal signs" allowed me to open the form.

Still having issues with the new record in afternew/2. Anyway I thought I should let everyone know. You may have realized that I haven't been using codemind or VFP recently. One loses alot in a few short months.
