This issue has arisen in an application where a functional conversion has taken place.

The code is being run in VFP 6, but is written like DOS code (no comments please!!) The code being executed is not in a form, but a hand-coded screen.

There is no foundation READ.

In Foxpro 2.6 for Windows, the Find option on the Edit menu was enabled when a READ MODAL was issued. However, we have found that in VFP6 this no longer works. The shortcut Ctrl+F is still on the _med_find entry on the _medit pad of sysmenu.

I had thought of defining a new menu, pushing the existing one, activating it in the READ WHEN, then popping back the old one; or defining a shortcut menu.

Any suggestions please?
