The $ and K are special footnotes in the RTF and they mean special features in the Help file. I don't remember exactly what each means, but you can find them in the Help file for the HelpWorkshop tool. Basically, all main features of a help file are established by setting footnotes in the RTF. As said, you can find them all in the help for the Workshop.
