Sounds like my kinda job... :)

Basically, we're an online financial data warehousing/online-trading company. We cover the various financial markets: equities, futures, foreign exchange, for both local (Philippine) and foreign (US, SouthEast Asian) markets. We provide historical as well as real-time data, plus analysis. We're moving on to provide on-line trading.

We're using MS SQL Server 6.0 as our back-end, with VFP for our (internal) data-entry front end, and a proprietary Windows 95 Internet client that connects to our application server which runs on a Sun machine. We plan on moving our application server to NT soon, which will give us a full Microsoft/Intel solution.

We also have a Windows NT 4.0 workstation machine acting as a TAPI dial-up connector and real-time server to a -- you guessed it -- real-time stock market feed.

If you think making everything work was a nightmare, consider that we have only four developers (two on Unix), and our company has been around roughly since January (I was the 2nd developer, joined just this June!).

Needless to say, we love NT. Ease of configuring plus ease of use, plus the wide range of applications it works with are a definite plus.
