Hi David,

Yes we do have a subclass of *every* single control, even the ones we don't use, just on the off chance that somebody might need one of them one day. So yep the problem was fixed in approximately 15.2 seconds.

Still you are right that it is a stupid problem. Do you know any reason that VFP textboxes behave like this? We had some ideas like maybe old data entry mainframe systems might have worked like that so they wanted to keep all the old data entry clerks happy?
