>This is my situation. My main program does Do Form Main and Do Form Splash. I want a Label on my main form to display a welcome to the user for 15 seconds after the splash form disappears. I am tring to do this with a timer that will start after the splash form releases. After this I need the timer to keep watch on a table that recieves messages and shut down data.

It seems simplest to me to use two separate timers for the two different purposes.

The first can be place on the form; as soon as the Timer closes the form, the Timer will also go out of scope, i.e. it will get destroyed.
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
