Understood. ;)
>Reason being that we would have separate methods in Enrollment, GetGPA() and GetTotalCharges() and most certainly have used GetBizObject() to obtain a reference to MyCourses and MyCharges.
It's the difference between simple, and right. You're doing right, I just want simple. Of course, simple is biting me for my efforts: If oMyCourses is never used, the ISNULL check in the Destroy *creates* it during the _access call, just so it can be destroyed. This is compounded since MyCourses has no data when newly created. Adding the Requery causes an error when trying to Requery during the Destroy. Time to go do it right.
>Yep, this is one of those times where the obviousness of the code and its extreme flexibility may be at odds. We've found that the "set it and forget it" -- with apologies to Ronco -- aspect of GetBizObject() is well worth it.
Agreed. Hmm... Maybe we need to get ol' Ron to start hawking VFP. "It slices, it dices, it collates data faster than any other database."
Chris.
