Just because you turn the screen off doesn't do anything to the _SCREEN reference, it's ALWAYS there.
I think what Sergey was trying to convey was that you have to reference an object's entire hierarchy from the outermost container to the object. In most cases, your outermost object would be your form, or "thisform". If you need to try to reference an object from outside of it's hierarchy, you may need to reference it with _SCREEN.ActiveForm as the object. It all depends on where you are and what you want to do on how a reference is made.
