Let's give it a try...

1)Establish a method for redirecting an LPT port to the desired printer:
Example: Net Use Lpt1 \\host2\hp1100
You may need to use another technique so keep looking until you are able to redirect the printer port.

2) Before starting to print, set the printer to the port.
SET PRINTER TO LPT3 OR
SET PRINTER TO LPT2
depending on which port your printer is on.
If possible, redirect LPT2 or LPT3 and do not redirect LPT1.

I have encounted problems when I tried to redirect LPT1.
