Databases,Tables, Views, Indexing and SQL syntax
Hi Fred,
Thanks for help. I was thinking more along the lines of doing a batch process when the user closes a form after carrying out and saving doxens of changes. The details of the changes will be stored in a memo field for displaying in a report. I don't want to store the audit details as each record is saved and I need to calculate the total value of the overall changes. Using SQL it is easy enough to determine new and deleted records but I need some quick way to identify changes to any field in an edited record. I was trying a union query on the snapshot and live table and then selecting records with the PK field having a count > 1 but the sorting of the records was inconsistant.
Thank Again,
Niall
