Good evening all

I have always used numeric data types to represent monetary field values such as item price, invoice amount and so forth. It seems to me that "way back when" there was a problem with rounding if you used a Currency data type.

I was suprised to find this in the VFP8 Help:

"For monetary values or precise financial calculations, use the Currency data type instead of Numeric."

Anyone have any thoughts on the numeric vs. Currency thing in VFP8?

If I use Currency types in VFP8, is there anything that will bite me if I switch the data source to SQL Server?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
