Heard that phrase on TV last night and thought it fit.

Sunday morning talk shows are reporting leaks that David Kay, the former U.N. Weapons Inspector (leader?), NBC Consultant and now Chief WMD Finder for the U.S. government, is lowering his sights to now showing that 'WMD programs existed'.

I'm wondering if the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences can mint a special award for next year's presentation and proffer it to the Administration for their thoroughness in the feint involving Iraq's weapons of mass destruction...
It started with stirring up the U.N. to get them back in there to find the weapons they KNEW were there...
It continued with promise to tell the Inspectors where they were...
It continued with a convincing presentation by Secretary of State Powell showing VERY RECENT photos of in-use-then-abandoned works with WMD activity underway and special mobile 'labs' used to make WMD and intercepts of military communications talking about hiding such stuff and photocopies of documents for the purchase of a large amount of yellowcake...
Anticipating the war, the military gave whatever media that wanted explanations and demonstrations of the equipment and tools used by troops to defend themselves from such and to detect/deal with them...
It continued once war started with intercepted Iraqi communications authorizing (Iraqi) troops to deploy their chemical/biological weapons...
Then once victorious it was to be a matter of days to find the first caches (troops seemd fond of 'cachets' for the word) of them...
Then it would take capture of key Iraqi officials to get them to talk about details.

Now the idea is to prove that Iraq ONCE HAD WMD PROGRAMS?!?!?!? I sure hope the leak is erroneous.
