Well, when I get out of my house, the night after San Juan (St. John), the air is filled with the smell of the fireworks. I live 5 km. from the center; closer to the center it gets worse. You can see only a few blocks away.

And most dogs try to hide wherever they can. The explosions make them very nervous.
