Ok I have the date set to .NULL. for the default value and on the add the value is Null but after the save from the VFP cursor adaptor it is getting set to 1/1/1900, so it seems like the problem resides in VFP or the cursor adapter, I even took the field off the screen just to rule out that the fields format or input mask has something to do with the problem, any ideas ?
