I use both Roxio and Nero (one at home and one at work) and I know many programmers like using Nero's API. You might want to check it out:

I haven't tested it yet myself so I'm interested in learning how it works for you! :o)

>Thanks Hilmar. I was just using WinXP to burn the cds. I got it to copy some files to the temp cd burning area but others won't copy. Seems to be a read-only issue. I'll load up Roxio or something and see if they have an API.

>>>Anyone know how to send files from a folder to the cd burning folder with VFP so that I can then burn them onto the cd? Just like right-clicking on a folder and chosing Send To->cd? Simply copying files to d: doesn't do anything. I tried copying to the cd burning folder under Documents and Settings but that didn't work either since the folder is hidden.

>>
>>2) (probably simpler, if available): The CD burning software has a special mode that makes the CD look (to Windows) like a regular file system. All read and write accesses are automatically translated, and you can use commands like COPY FILE (VFP), XCOPY (a DOS command), WSH, or Windows API.
