No, it is just a straight view directly from the tables. I have tried this with 3 different views to 3 different tables and it is always the same. Any time I do a requery of the view, it comes back with the 'view definition has changed' error. Thinking about the field length, some of the fields in the mysql tables are defined as varchar, would this have anything to do with the error? And if so, how do I get around that?

>>I have created a view to a remote mysql table that needs a parameter to do a query. When I browse the view, I am asked for the parameter and the browse window appears with my selection. But when I set up a form, using a textbox to gather the parameter and then requery the view, I get an error about the view dfinition has changed. I set the data environment nodataonload=.f. so that the form can start up without the parameter window popping up as the form loads. I know the view definition has not changed because I can do a browse of the view and everything works as it is suppose to. What am I doing wrong or what can I do to correct this. I am using VFP8 and this is also my first step into client/server.
