Are you sure that you don't update one table and than open different one? Also, can you see updates if you don't close the table after replace but open it in another VFP session?

The field is a charater field, 1 character in length, which is normally empty but when my utility has processed the record I wanted it to updated the field with a "Y" so that it is not included in future processes -here is the code...
