So I am now using VFP OLEDB to access my VFP8 data.

It's all been working quite nicely until...

When I access memo fields from ASP3.0 I get the VFP error "Unable to create temporary work files" within ASP.

I would assume that this is likely to be a lack of disk space, so I have spent most of the day clearing up old rubbish and now have 3GB free.

The strange thing is this works fine when I copy it to the live server, I only get the error on my own deveopment machine.

The table I am looking at is not paticularly large ( 808K for dbf,cdf&fpt combined).

The only other explanation I can think of would be a failure to have permission to write the temp files, but I am not sure where it writes them, or as whom. Or why it would only occur with memo fields.

The server uses Win2k whereas I am using WinXP. I can't imagine this makes a huge difference.

Any other suggestions out there?
