We have an application (VFP6 SP5) that has been running on the network successfully for a long time (months). This application suddenly quit working. Nothing has changed in the application and (as far as we know) nothing in the network environment and rights appear to be sufficient to run the app.

The symptoms are as follows: When the application is launched (by icon or double-clicking in Explorer), "nothing" happens. Watching in Task Manager shows that a process is started up but immediately ends.

The application works when placed in a different folder or on another server. Interestingly, we created a simple "Hello World" VFP app and placed it in the folder in question and it also would not run. Place it in different folder and it runs.

Obviously we suspect a network issue but nothing seems amiss and network guys have looked at it.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of symptoms?
