Hi Dave,

There're 2 FoxPro for dos versions:

1. Foxpro.exe - uses DOS conventional memory only. Because of that it's has only 25 work areas and some other limitation.
2. Foxprox.exe - can use extended DOS memory also. The # of avalable work areas is 225. That's the one you should use.

Fox.exe is a launcher program. Based on memory configuraton of WS it suppouse to launch either Foxpro.exe or Foxprox.exe. It launches Foxpro.exe because it cannot properly determine ammount of avalable memory or ot's shortcut isn't configured properly.
