Hi Everyone,

I have 2 questions to poses.

1. Is there a way to communicate with VB via Dcom? My problem is how do I setup and object that will pass a string variable. My goal is to pass a string to another developer that can read a string sent from VFP to VB using DCOM. Is there a VB gateway via DCOM in FoxPro, and how I can pass a string variable value( Issue that I been told is that VFP as a 254 character string length and VB uses 255). He called it a Unicode std.

2. The other alternative is using a tool called "Think and Do". So far this seems to work nicely when I only have to send numeric values. I would be great if I could use this to send String variables but, again, I'm having trouble passing String variables back to the other developer using a Proprietary software. His tools are DCOM, or "Think and Do".

So, if there is a setting in VFP that I can use to send strings(with the Unicode std.) in either DCOM or Think & Do?

Any insights, or help on how to do this would be greately appreciated.
