And I prefer StatusBarText - I had forgotten to mention that. For the same reason: less distracting. And it should be simpler to program than the WAIT WINDOW.

Usually it should recompile automatically. Sometimes, for some unbeknownst reason, it doesn't.

The reason is quite obvious when you use constants (since VFP doesn't manage dependencies), but in other cases, you don't know why your code didn't get recompiled.
