If you have existing .vfp. code and app logic you'd like to use, you'd have to rewrite everything in Cold Fusion script using tags which are very limited compared to a real programming language. Add to that the fact that it's undergoing quite a few changes under Macromedia including Java integration. Also, there are issues with support for older versions - the company I was just with had a problem getting Cold Fusion Server 5 licenses for its clients.
>Not sure why you recommend staying away from ColdFusion. I have not used ColdFusion in a few years but when I did it was a breeze to work with and did everything I needed it to do.
