I have been given 2 huge files (3.5GB and 2GB) that I need to do some things to. These are fixed length text files. I'm creating a cursor with the fields and their appropriate lengths. When I use the append from sdf command, I am pretty sure all the records are not getting appended. The 2GB file is only inporting about 12,000 records. The 3.5GB file imported about 1 million records, but I was expecting that one to be larger as well. These 2 files are the same in their layout. Any ideas about what would cause this are that I'm missing?
