Currently I'm working on VFP app exchanging data with online MySQL database. For security reasons the ISP allows access to the database only from local scripts -- no ODBC connections on port 3306 or any other ports.

I'm bound to this provider and Unix/MySQL -- no way to change it.

I have a temporary solution -- VFP class wrapping SQL command into HTTP request and sending it to PHP script. PHP script performs required operations on the database and sends results back.

More or less it works. Though still I have a feeling that I'm creating what is already created.

May be a library, or control enabling VFP app talking to MySQL through the Internet, any ideas, any info?
