In Access you could write a VBA script that would do Automation. But you should ask this in an Access forum. Conversely, you could write a VBA macro in Excel to update Access through OleDB (or ODBC).

As you are posting in a VFP forum, I would assume that you want to do this with VFP. Therefore you would have to write Automation code to control Excel and then code to update Access tables using OleDB (or ODBC). Does not seem terribly efficient, and I would have to wonder why you would use Access as a data repository, but we have to assume you have valid business reasons to do that. <g>
