Is there a way to return feedback to a client that intanstiates my MTDLLs?

* assume MTDLL MyCOM.DLL exists and registered.
* MyCOM.DLL has a method that loops through a list of files called Method1()
* Implementation:
o = createobj('MyCOM.MyClass')
? o.Method1()

Can I return any kind of feedback to the client at all? For example, I want to return the current file the DLL is working on.
