I found this:

“The Associated Press is a not-for-profit cooperative, which means it is owned by its 1,550 U.S. daily newspaper members. They elect a board of directors that directs the cooperative”.

Perhaps they have permission to use the article and perhaps not. In these days of copyright problems you have to be careful. Some attorney could make a case out of anything regardless of ones intent.
