Hi Chuck,

I like grids as well and usually able to manage them and even use for Data Entry (not recommended). The only problem with them is if the table is filtered and there are only few records which satisfy filter condition, the grid slows down dramatically. Unfortunately, our applications use grids and filters, so the users suffer...

I hoped Marcia would check this thread and think about idea of creating a FAQ. I know, she wrote books and lots of articles, but neverless, FAQ here would be useful as well. I just see few questions here repeatedly...

I also built a nice multiselect grid control based on Cetin Basoz multiselect grid from Downloads section here. I use this control in Search Criteria form. Multiselect lists start to behave flacky when number of items exceeds 65... I don't know, if it's still the case with VFP8...

>Silly me, I did not mention that this was in a grid. I love grids. I don't seem to have many problems with them. I knew there would be a simple solution, its just how to ask the right question when searching. Like I told Sergey, I turned up nothing.

>I have so many people tell me "don't use grids, they're to flaky and don't even try controls in them". Well the masochist in me says do it anyway and I really like using grids.

>>This problem was discussed here on UT numerous times... There are few other interesting problems with combobox, which were discussed quite often, one is the combobox in the grid problem. Marcia Akins posted her solution several times. I'm wondering, if Marcia would be so kind to put a FAQ here with some of "combo" tricks?

>>>As always you are quick to the response. Many thanks, its was the solution I needed. How do you know that? I have searched for hours trying different stuff. Is there a tips/tricks article that has many more of those solutions?

>>>Anyway, Your my hero, Thanks

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
