I am building an application where the data files will reside on a shared network drive and the application exe with reside on the users local drive. I would like the errorlog.dbf file to reside with the rest of the data on the network drive.

The problem I am having is that when my application launches it seems to be looking for the errorlog.dbf file in the same folder as the exe file. I have set the user preferences to point to the network drive, but it does not seem to be doing that. Just before the login dialog appears I am getting an error message saying "Unable to locate c:\program files\myapp\errorlog.dbf".

The registry settings are showing that the local DBC location is the shared network drive folder.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
