You will most likely not want to embed the images directly with the email since their are email readers that do not support this at all. You however would want to host any images related to the email on a website and use IMG tags to point to them in your HTML code. This way every user can read it. Also, it is useful for tracking if users actually view the email.

We have done this quite a number of time with clients using our SMTP Wizard mailing control and it has worked quite well.
