Hi - can anyone explain why Windows Authentication mode is better? I have been reading in MSDN and it makes the point a number of times - "Whereever possible use Windows Authentication"

I ask because I am writing an app with sql 2000 backend - I wanted users credentials checked with the database - a number of users use the same computer and I don't want them to have to log out and back in to get access to the database. I want the credentials they supply through my login screen to determine their level of access.

Question: To acheive this should I use Mixed mode?
