Pay particular attention to the end of the article where he states that IE3 or IE4 will have to be installed on a user's machine for a MS HTML Help system to function properly.

What does this mean for VFP programmers? Nothing yet. But there is no question that future versions will accommodate HTML Help as it is Microsoft's strategy for ALL of their products and developer's tools.

Below is the message that I sent to Mr. Swenson:

"After reading John Swenson's article on Microsoft's New HTML Help, I have to say that I will probably NOT switch from using WinHelp for one simple reason: The end users of my clients will all have to have IE3 or IE4 installed in order to receive all the benefits from such a help system. As a developer, it is NOT my responsibility to determine what browser my clients should use in order for my applications to function properly."

"What nerve - you guys never give up. I intend to post my opinion of this matter on the various developer newsgroups that I use."
