Grid is initialized in the form with no recordsource, enabled, 1 grid column and readonly set to default (.f.). Dblclick event in grid.column1.text1 will display the file. _dblclick is set to .5 seconds

Form init event issues a create cursor command to set up a blank cursor file and recordsource is then identified. Grid is filled when a getfile command (in another text box) identifies a file.

Once an item appears in the grid, double clicking the item fails to produce any result. Put a simple wait window in the event to ensure code is not called.

code works once upon opening VFP7 if the double click event is called from the textbox. What am I doing wrong?
